How does it work?:

1) A BayouPC representative will come to your home and install and configure the software necessary for remote desktop computing and file transfer. The BayouPC representative will also tweak your computer for optimal performance/security and conduct any necessary repairs to your system. There will be no extra charge for this visit, and no 'setup fees' whatsoever. Payment for your first 2 months of service are due at that time. You may pay with either cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card (via Paypal).

2) Whenever you encounter a problem with your PC or have a question, you may contact us via email or telephone. Your question will be answered in a timely manner -usually in less than an hour. If you are having a problem, or if a question necessitates it, a technical support person will remotely connect to your computer and assist you.

3) If you are having a problem that remote computing cannot solve, someone will come to your home and address the problem. Your computer may ultimately need to be taken into our computer service room. You will never be charged anything extra for these trips. In fact, you will never be charged anything other than the monthly service fee (unless the problem requires the purchase of new hardware.)

How much is it and what do I get for my money?

The monthly service fee is $24.95. For this low monthly fee you get complete computer support which includes hardware, software, and network support. This includes both on-site visits, remote connections, and in-house repairs. With this low monthly fee you will never need any other type of support for your computer system. You will also get weekly virus scanning and various computer tune-ups to keep your computer running smoothly and error-free.

What if I need support for multiple computers on a network?

If you need support for multiple computers at the same location, we will be glad to offer a volume discount. Please contact us and we will negotiate a fair price to handle support for your entire network.

Is the software you install on my computer secure?

Absolutely. Your privacy and security is guaranteed. BayouPC takes privacy and security issues very seriously. The software we use is very secure. By using IP filtering and password protection, we can guarantee that no one besides a BayouPC associate can successfully connect to your computer. Also, the file-sharing software will only be "turned-on" when a file needs to be transferred, and it too is password protected and IP filtered.

Will my personal information be kept private?

BayouPC will never gather or view any personal information from your computer. Your privacy is an utmost priority at BayouPC. You can rest assured that your personal files will never be accessed. In fact, the remote software we use will create a log of all files accessed during our remote session. You can always view this log to see exactly what files were accessed.

Why don't I just wait until I run into a problem and call a local service company to come out and fix my computer?

For the price you would pay for one single house-call from our competitors, you could have had 2-3 months of hassle-free computing with BayouPC. And you can ask us anything at anytime and you will only be charged the monthly service fee!

Are there any system requirements my computer need to meet?

We offer complete computer service to any modern PC running a Microsoft operating system, this includes: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. We prefer (but do not insist) that you have a broadband connection to the internet such as RoadRunner or BayouDSL. Having a computer that is always online makes connecting to your computer for remote sessions much easier.

How do I contact you when I have a problem or question with my computer?

When you sign-up for the monthly service, you will be given a brochure that will explain everything in great detail. This will include how to contact us when you have a question or problem. You will have several options for contacting us. This will include: email, telephone, and live chat sessions.

I don't know much about computers. Will this be difficult for me to understand?

Simplicity is the name of the game. Our services are catered toward you. If you can send an email or use a phone, this service is for perfect for you. It can't get much easier than that!
